A secret is by definition is information you don't want another person knowing. Quite simply, if more than one person knows this confidential information then it's no longer a secret. So why, for example, would you ask someone, "Can you keep a secret?" And then tell them?
Whether they can or can't is irrelevant. It's obvious that YOU can't or you wouldn't be telling them. Becuase what always happens is the information eventually get's out to everyone. And you get angry at this person and start babbling at how untrustworthy they are. Well, don't worry becuase that makes you as untrustworthy as they are.
You may say you don't want other people to know but subconsciously you want everyone to know. Becuase drama believe it or not, is a form of entertainment. Something to add interest to your boring life.
"Can you keep a secret?" You must realize how oxymoronic that makes you sound now if ask somone that. Rather you should say, "Hey, can you sit on this hot juicy gossip for about three days and then tell everyone?"
Now, doesn't that make more sense?

I don't know what I'm gonna do...Just pray that something good falls in my lap soon.
"May I ask you a question?"
That one always irks me.
