"...She thought like a sociopath-no empathy, no sympathy, no guilt, no compassion. In a strange way, that must be a very peaceful existence. Did you need more emotions than she possessed to be lonely?....
....If you didn't understand the need for friendship or love, could you be lonely? I shrugged and shook my head...."
~Anita Blake
What's that saying, 'You dance with the devil, the devil don't change. He changes you.' Is it wrong to have sympathy for the devil? Must their be a line drawn for the giving of compassion? I must be deranged.
Today, in a world where most humans aren't disguised as wolves but wolves disguised as humans, we drag our souls on the bottom of our shoe. Though I cannot lie, I was born a wolf. But I am trying...trying so very hard to be human. But I was told a wolf could never truly be human, can he? But at least I try. If I didn't, I'd be like all those other poor dullards out there.
P.S. I noticed that I am much more inquisitive while I am drinking absinthe. Hmm, I should buy more.
